EdieLane Outdoors was built through resilience, family values, and a passion for craftsmanship.

When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the hospitality industry, the Poythress family was faced with the need to adapt and find a new path forward. Instead of standing still, we leaned into the skills that had been passed down through generations—hands-on trades, hard work, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

In late 2021, we launched Poythress Consulting LLC, partnering with a local concrete company and gaining experience across a wide range of outdoor projects. While concrete was the foundation, our vision quickly grew beyond that—we saw the opportunity to create complete outdoor living spaces that were both functional and beautiful.

By January 2026, that vision became reality.

Poythress Consulting evolved into EdieLane Outdoors—a brand dedicated to transforming outdoor spaces into lasting environments where families can gather, relax, and make memories.

EdieLane Outdoor Living & Hardscape was created in loving memory of two incredible women who shaped our lives.

The name EdieLane honors Edie Hudson-Poythress and Elaine Goodwin—the mothers of Wayne and Kimberly. Both women shared a deep love for the outdoors, where some of life’s best moments were spent on patios, gathered with family, or simply enjoying time together on a porch swing.

They were women of strength, love, and unwavering values. They taught us the importance of hard work, integrity, pride, and building a legacy—values we carry into every project and hope to pass down to our children.

This business is more than concrete and stone.
It is a tribute to the foundation they built in our lives.
